Why staying underpaid feels safer (and how to change it)

podcast episodes

Here's something I want to say plainly.

The reason most people undercharge isn't because they don't know what they're worth.

It's because charging more doesn't feel safe.

And when something doesn't feel safe in your body, no amount of strategy or mindset work done at the surface level is going to shift it. You will keep finding new reasons to hold back, new excuses that make total logical sense, because your nervous system is protecting you from something.

In this week's episode of Chill & Prosper, I'm getting into the real reasons undercharging feels so sticky, because this is one of the most common and most painful things I see, especially in women who got into business to help people.

Inside the episode I cover:

  • Why "I care more about my clients than money" is a story, not a value
  • The origin stories behind undercharging that often have nothing to do with money
  • Why the price you want is the one where everyone agrees you're a nice person (and why that's a trap)
  • The OCP framework for finding and interrupting your pattern
  • How to start raising your prices even when it feels genuinely scary to do it

You're allowed to want to be paid well for what you do. That's not greed. That's sustainability.
