I Have the Knees of a Millionaire (And So Do You)
I want to tell you about one of the strangest money mindset practices I have ever done.
And one of the most effective.
It goes like this. You work through your body, part by part, from your toes to the top of your head. And for each part, you say out loud: I have the feet of a millionaire. I have the ankles of a millionaire. I have the knees of a millionaire.
I know. Stay with me.
Why it works
The reason this practice is so revealing is that every single time you say it, your brain immediately responds with a counter-argument.
I have the feet of a millionaire. And your brain says: but your toenails are a mess. But your feet are wide. But millionaires have perfect pedicures.
I have the stomach of a millionaire. And your brain says: but you have stretchmarks. But you are not the right size. But millionaires look different.
And on it goes, through every single body part, revealing a story you did not even know you were carrying. A story that says: people who look like me are not allowed to be wealthy.
The rules we have about who deserves wealth
Most of us have absorbed, without realizing it, a very specific image of what a wealthy person looks like. It usually does not look like us.
Too young. Too old. Wrong accent. Wrong background. Wrong body. Not enough credentials. Too ordinary. Too much.
These are not conscious beliefs. They sit underneath everything, quietly deciding what you are allowed to charge, what clients you are allowed to attract, what level of success you are allowed to aim for.
And the millionaire body scan is one of the most direct ways to surface them, because the absurdity of the exercise makes you laugh at your own rules. Nobody checks your knees when they are deciding whether to pay you. Nobody is auditing your stomach before they book your highest package.
The rules are not real. But they are running.
What to do when the rules surface
When you do this practice and a story comes up, you do not need to argue with it or fix it immediately. You just name it.
Oh, I have a belief that my body is not millionaire enough. Interesting. Where did that come from?
And then you say the affirmation anyway. I have the knees of a millionaire. I have the stomach of a millionaire. I choose to make millions in this body.
Not because the affirmation instantly changes the belief. But because repeating it, over and over, starts to wear away at the rule until the rule loses its grip.
A permission slip
Wealth has no weight limit. No height limit. No age limit. No accent requirement. No perfect body clause.
You are allowed to be a millionaire exactly as you are right now. Not once you have lost the weight, sorted your skin, got the certification, or fixed the thing you think is wrong with you.
Now. As you are. In this body.
The Embodying Being a Millionaire meditation in my free Choose Yourself collection guides you through this practice in full. It is one of the most commented-on pieces of content I've created because people do not expect to find so many rules in there.
