Check in and assess your business
EPISODE 180
Check in and assess your business
Time to check in - where are you at with your business right now?
Let’s take an honest look and identify a few tweaks and improvements you can make before the end of the year.
Today’s episode is inspired by my ballet journey. I recently took an advanced class and wanted to quit - it was physically and mentally challenging, and I almost dropped out.
But I committed to go just one more time. And I noticed some tiny incremental improvements. Soon, I was getting 1% better, which was enough to keep me going.
So, let’s apply that concept to your business - where could you make a 1% incremental improvement? Because over time, the one-percenters add up.
To help you, I’ve got an “Honest Assessment” spreadsheet so you can review your metrics and get a clear picture of where your business is.
Download here: Honest Assessment Spreadsheet
This assessment will help you get or stay on track by giving you honest data - so you don’t makeup stories about yourself or your business.
Listen to today’s episode to learn:
- How to do an honest assessment of your critical business metrics
- The importance of clear, simple data in your business
- What metrics I recommend you keep an eye on
- Finding money leaks in your business
- What NOT to track and the metrics you can ignore
Sometimes, an episode about data and stats can feel boring or confronting, but I don’t want it to be. I want you to be empowered with the data to feel confident and informed.
Take a moment to check in with yourself to understand your goals and with your business to see if you’re on track and where you could make incremental improvements.
Let me know how your assessment goes - send me a message or tag me.
What gets measured, gets improved… you’ve got this.
xx Denise
P.S. In the episode I also talked about tracking debt and how I approach paying down debt. You can download my Debtfree Checklist here to get clear on your debts and start moving towards financial freedom.
