Is Procrastination Blocking Your Money?
Procrastination does not always look like doing nothing. Sometimes it looks extremely productive.
You buy another course. You tweak your website colors. You redo the logo. You reorganize your content. You research platforms for three weeks. You listen to another podcast about launching instead of, you know, launching.
I call this procrastinate-learning and procrastinate-branding, and it is one of the most common money blocks I see in entrepreneurs who are otherwise smart, capable, and genuinely good at what they do. It has the texture of working hard. It just produces zero income.
The tricky part is it does not feel like a block. It feels responsible. It feels thorough. It feels like you are making sure everything is right before people pay you.
What is really going on
Underneath most entrepreneurial procrastination is a perfectionism belief: I have to be perfect before I am allowed to make money. Or: if someone pays for this and it is not perfect, I will be judged.
So you keep refining. You adjust the colors. You start again on the page. And the thing that would actually make money, putting the offer in front of people and allowing them to pay you, keeps being delayed.
For more cautious, detail-oriented types, this can look like needing endless certainty before launching. For over-givers, it can look like wanting the offer so complete and supportive that it becomes impossible to finish.
Perfection does not make money. Completion does. You cannot improve something that never gets into the world.
What to try this week
Find the thing that has been almost ready the longest. Give it a real launch date, not a vague soon, an actual date. Then tell someone who will hold you to it.
Affirmation: I take imperfect action and allow money to flow.
